WVU Potomac State College to host Jazz Invitational

The West Virginia University Potomac State College/Community Jazz Ensemble will host a big band jazz festival on Wednesday, April 10.  The program, which will feature area school jazz ensembles, will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Church-McKee Arts Center.

The festival has developed into a popular annual event that has showcased many young musicians and their bands over the past several years.

Participating school bands this year include: Washington Middle, Frankfort Middle, Westmar Middle, Keyser High, Hampshire High, Frankfort High, and Mountain Ridge High.  The festival host, PSC Jazz Ensemble, will also perform during the program.

The program is free, and the public is encouraged to attend and help support the education and performance of jazz music in our schools.
