Bayfield Brass to Honor Veterans During Nov. 10 Performance at Keyser Presbyterian Church

Bayfield Brass to Honor Veterans During Nov. 10 Performance at Keyser Presbyterian Church

Veterans will be honored when Bayfield Brass brings its talents to the region as the Highland Arts Unlimited season continues at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 10 at the Keyser Presbyterian Church.

Bayfield Brass Quintet was founded in 1989 when all five of the members including C. Rhoades Whitehill of Keyser comprised the United States Naval Academy Band Brass Quintet. Their partnership grew so that when some of its original members went on to other full-time endeavors, the ensemble remained together to perform in the Baltimore-Washington region in their “off-duty” hours.

Admission for the upcoming concert is free to Highland Arts Unlimited members. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.  Area students under 18 are admitted free and young children are admitted free with a paying adult. WVU Potomac State College students are admitted free with their student IDs.

Advance tickets are available at Anderson's Corner, Romney; Reed’s Drug Store, Cannon’s Ace Hardware and The Candlewyck, Keyser; the Allegany Arts Council in Cumberland or by calling 304-788-3066 or 304-788-9465. On-line tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite.com.

Highland Arts programs are presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts, memberships and corporate contributions and financial support from the Mineral County Board of Education with generous in-kind support from Potomac State College of WVU.
