Kruk named WPCC Coach of the Year

Larry Kruk, head women’s basketball coach at West Virginia University Potomac State College has been named the 2019-20 Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year.

In his first season as head coach of the Lady Catamounts, Kruk has guided his team to an overall record of 9-7 and 4-1 in the WPCC with four games remaining on the regular season schedule.

Potomac State faces the Community College of Beaver County Wednesday night at home at 5 p.m. Currently CCBC’s conference record is also 4-1 which designates Wednesday’s match up as a winner take all for the WPCC regular season championship.

Prior to being named Head Coach, Kruk served as assistant coach for the Lady Catamounts for seven years, from the 2012-13 through the 2018-19 season. He played basketball for Potomac State College from 2003-2005. He was a member of the 2004 Region XX Championship team. 

 

Kruk works as an Admissions Counselor in the WVU Potomac State College Office of Enrollment.
