West Virginia University Potomac State College Theatre will be presenting “Big-The Musical” in the spring on the PSC campus.
“Big” will be directed by Mark Ashby with choreography by Natalie Bennett and William Price. Music Direction will be by Sean and Debi Beachy.
Auditions are open to all but will be held by appointment only on Sunday, Nov. 13 beginning at 5:30 p.m., and Monday, Nov. 14 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Church-McKee Arts Center. Audition times can be scheduled by emailing pscauditions@gmail.com.
The audition will consist of the following: you will be taught a short dance combination, come prepared to dance in loose fitting clothing, and wear comfortable/proper shoes (dance shoes, etc.)
Anyone auditioning should prepare about 60 seconds/24 bars of singing to showcase their best voice. Also bring an accompaniment of your choice, either a score for our accompanist to play, your own accompanist (a piano will be provided), a CD or MP3.
“Big-The Musical” is a stage adaptation of "Big", the 1988 hit movie starring Tom Hanks, and includes an exciting new musical theatre score by David Shire. There are many roles for middle school age to adults. The suggested age ranges listed below are approximate only:
Josh Baskin
The story's protagonist. He has the mind, spirit and innocence of a 13-year-old trapped in the body of a 30-year-old.
