Alumni, community supporters, employees, students, and friends of WVU Potomac State College came together to show PSC how much they care by donating a record-breaking $166,843 during the University’s eighth Day of Giving, more than doubling last year’s total of $76,718.

“I am so thankful to everyone within the WVU family, along with members of the community and community partnerships, and to all who helped spread the word or assisted with this year’s Day of Giving.  The benefits to students as a result of your generous giving, will help shape the careers of future leaders,” PSC President Jerry Wallace said.

The priorities for this year’s Day of Giving, to benefit Potomac State College, included three areas of focus: 1) shaping the future of education and innovation by creating new academic programs; 2) transforming lives by making education more financially accessible; and 3) empowering athletic teams with the resources needed to compete and succeed.

“Your generosity during WVU Day of Giving is more than a gift—it’s an investment in our students, faculty, and programs that shape the future of Potomac State College. Because of you, students' lives are enhanced, opportunities are strengthened, and our community thrives. Thank you for making a difference for the Catamounts," PSC Director of Development Megan Webb said.

Many donations were given in honor/memory of a special professor, loved one and as an encouragement to current and future students. For more information, visit the Day of Giving PSC Donor Wall.

Potomac State College’s efforts are part of the WVU System’s Day of Giving in which $46.2M was raised this year.
