WVU Potomac State College awards scholarships to Keyser High School students

WVU Potomac State College (PSC) recently awarded scholarships to numerous Keyser High School students as they embark upon continuing their education at PSC.

Dr. Megan Webb, PSC Director of Development, presented students with the following scholarships:

The Dulin Memorial Scholarship is made possible by George K. Oss and his wife Joann, in memory of George’s beloved grandmother, Cora A. Dulin. After George tragically lost his mother at a young age, Cora raised him and his sister, instilling in them the values of education, resilience, and community. George went on to graduate from Potomac State College in 1955 and built a remarkable career in aeronautical engineering, contributing to the development of rocket propulsion systems and serving his country through science and innovation.

The Dulin Memorial Scholarship this year was awarded to Keyser High School (KHS) student, Tyner Dent.

The Charles I. “Skip” and Nancy J. Homan Scholarship was founded by Skip Homan and his wife, Nancy. The Homans have deep ties to this community and a heartfelt desire to support future generations of West Virginia residents. They created this scholarship to help students take meaningful steps toward careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

This year’s recipient of the Homan Scholarship was KHS senior, Owen Morgan Rotruck.

The Haines Scholarship this year was awarded to KHS seniors, Carmen Biser and Braylon McGreevy.
