Club members of the Rotaract Club of West Virginia University Potomac State College gained recognition as the recipients of the 2017-18 Rotary Citation, awarded by Rotary International President Ian H.S. Riseley. The club earned this award by fulfilling the 2017-18 theme of “Rotary: Making A Difference” and achieving goals such as increasing club membership, donating to The Rotary Foundation, outreaching to the community via sustainable service projects, and building awareness of Rotary in the Keyser area.
In addition to cheering, the Cheerleading Squad at West Virginia University Potomac State College has been busy with community-related activities. Kevin Griffin, Class of 2009, was recently recognized during the annual homecoming banquet at West Virginia University (WVU) Potomac State College, when he was awarded the Young Alumni Achievement Award.
In addition to majoring in accounting/finance, Griffin served as catcher on the Catamounts baseball team. During his two years at the College, he accumulated a .325 batting average with 15 home runs and 69 RBIs. He is tied for sixth in home runs for a single season record.
