High School ACCESS (Berkeley County)

WHY ACCESS?

You’re ready to take the next step toward college!

/  Earn WVU college credits.

/  Take classes in the evening or online.

/  Feel comfortable taking classes with other high

school students. 

WHAT IS OFFERED?

Fall 2018:

/  Intro to Composition and Rhetoric (ENGL 101)

Monday or Thursday 6:00 pm – 8:50 pm

/  Effective Public Speaking (CSAD 270)

Wednesday 6:00 pm – 8:50 pm

/  Landmarks of World Art (ARHS 101) Tuesday 6:00 pm – 8:50 pm

/  Intro to Psychology (PSYC 101) Tuesday 6:00 – 8:50 pm

/  20th Century Europe (HIST 209) Online / Web course

WHEN ARE CLASSES?

Classes meet one night a week from 6:00-8:50 pm except HIST 209 which is accessed online as often as necessary.

WHERE ARE CLASSES?

Classes meet at Martinsburg High School.

WHAT IS THE COST?

$75 for a three-credit course.

Students will receive a letter prior to the start of the semester with information about accessing the WVU Portal to pay bill and purchasing textbooks. 

REQUIREMENTS

High School Seniors:

/  Application for admission

/  High school transcript

/  Cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher

High School Juniors:

/  Application and transcript plus:

/  Junior permission form

/  Cumulative 3.5 GPA or higher


Additional Requirements for English 101:

ACT English
