Keyser Campus sophomores work with standardized patients for hands-on nursing experience
KEYSER, W.Va. — West Virginia University School of Nursing Keyser Campus sophomore students recently completed two simulations as part of their NSG 212 course — one on the care of a post-op patient with diabetes and another on the care of a patient with seizures who suffered a head injury.
Deadline for nursing applications extended for WVU School of Nursing’s Beckley, Keyser campuses
Due to the increased demand for nurses, the West Virginia University School of Nursing has extended the nursing application deadline for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program for both the Beckley Campus and the Keyser Campus.
Individuals interested in becoming a nurse may submit their applications now through July 1.

WVU eases mask requirements on PRT, university buses across all campuses
Passengers are no longer required to wear masks while riding on West Virginia University’s Public Rapid Transit or buses across the WVU System, beginning today (April 20) and pending any additional guidance after a federal court ruling this week.
While the University’s PRT and buses are now mask optional, masks are welcome and remain an important preventive measure against COVID-19. Anyone who needs or chooses to wear one is encouraged to do so.
Local artwork currently on display at Mary F. Shipper Library
The Mountain Arts Guild currently has an arts exhibit located on the west wing of the Mary F. Shipper Library’s second floor which includes creations by 12 local artists. These works were showcased during a member show at the beginning of April and will remain on display for the general public through mid-May.
