The WVU School of Nursing: Potomac State Campus Student Nurses’ Association will hold a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, on Thursday, April 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Davis Conference Center on the West Virginia University Potomac State College Campus. Admission is $12 per person, and the meal includes tossed salad with vinaigrette, spaghetti with meatballs, herb-seasoned bread sticks, desserts, and beverages. The flexible curriculum of multidisciplinary studies, which is a combination of three minors, enables students to design their educational program of study. This customization provides them with comparatively broad career options in diverse fields such as education, journalism, law, biotechnology, and computers to name a few.

The Drone Obstacle course is back by popular demand for the 2019 Mineral County STEM Festival, to be held Saturday, March 30, from noon to 4 p.m., on the WVU Potomac State College campus, in Keyser, W.Va. This event is free for students K through 12 and their families.

AG office, PSC to partner for middle school drug program
CHARLESTON—West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey’s partnership with colleges in West Virginia will bring students from Potomac State University to two middle schools in Mineral County on Thursday, March 7, to share drug abuse prevention information with eighth grade students.
The presentations will take place at Frankfort Middle School in Ridgeley and Keyser Middle School in Keyser. The initiative, launched in March 2017, has partnered with Potomac State’s Department of Nursing and several other universities.
Accomplished illustrator and filmmaker to speak at Potomac State
Accomplished illustrator and filmmaker Keryn Thompson will visit West Virginia University Potomac State College on Monday, March 25 to discuss the art of filmmaking with the Potomac State Film Club. The event will be held in the University Place Theater from 6-8 p.m., where Thompson will be screening a film as well as fielding questions about the filmmaking process. This event is free and open to the public.
