The Potomac State College/Community Jazz Ensemble will
present a big band jazz concert on Thursday, November 10, at 7:30 p.m., in the
Church-McKee Arts Center on the campus of West Virginia University Potomac
State College. The band will perform a variety of big band jazz styles
including a couple of arrangements in honor of Veterans Day.
Robert Gustafson, MD, associate dean for Faculty Services and professor emeritus
of Cardiovascular and Thoracic at the WVU School of Medicine, was recently honored
with the naming of a WVU Medicine Children’s Cardiac Operating Room in his behalf.
The OR is located on the third floor of the new nine-story, 150-bed Children’s
Hospital, in Morgantown, W.Va.
Timothy Reidell (left), a sophomore honors student
majoring in criminology from Shinnston, W.Va., was recently chosen as the
October 2022 Catamounts Climb Higher award recipient at West Virginia
University Potomac State College. He is pictured with Interim Campus

“I am delighted to announce the recent arrival of our
new director of development, Kimberly Colebank, Ed.D., at West Virginia
University Potomac State College,” said Interim President Chris Gilmer.
The leadership teams of West Virginia University Potomac State College and Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College recently met to discuss ways in which the two institutions can collaborate with one another. Highland Arts Unlimited presents Karen Knotts, daughter of West Virginia's own Don Knotts, on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 3 p.m. in the Church-McKee Arts Center.
Karen is an actress and author who has been referred to as ‘a hilarious performer.’ Her one-woman show and book — both titled “All Tied Up in Knotts” is a tribute to her father, “… who was a down-to-earth father with strong family values and beloved world-wide.”
