KEYSER, W.Va. – After a two-year hiatus, the stage in the Church-McKee Arts Center at West Virginia University Potomac State College is once again alive with activity. The Theatre Department is proud to present Disney’s high-flying, heart-thumping musical adventure – Tarzan, based on the 1999 classic Disney cartoon with music by Phil Collins.
Masks optional in WVU classrooms and labs, required in patient care areas
West Virginia University will lift mask requirements for individuals, regardless of vaccination status, in classrooms and labs across the WVU System beginning Tuesday, March 8.
The decision comes after the University made mask wearing optional in other indoor settings on Feb. 16 amid a decline in COVID-19 cases on campus, surrounding communities and across the state.

KEYSER, W.Va. — The nursing profession had its beginnings more than 160 years ago when the well-educated daughter of affluent British parents, Florence Nightingale, challenged the social conventions of her day and chose to become a nurse because she was passionate about improving the care of sick patients. MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - As infection and hospitalization rates from COVID-19 decrease, West Virginia University will lift mask requirements for individuals across all campuses in indoor spaces, regardless of vaccination status, effective immediately. However, the University will continue to require masks in all classrooms, labs or any WVU System facility or building being used as a classroom.
Masks also will continue to be required on the PRT and WVU buses under federal guidelines from the Transportation Security Administration.
