PSC Op-Ed with Dr. Jerry Wallace

Closing out the fall semester while gearing up for the holidays brought excitement to campus. As a former procrastinating student, I fully relate to the cram studying at the end of the semester. Luckily, at WVU Potomac State College, our atmosphere encourages collaboration among students and faculty which cultivates a positive student learning environment. The past 45 days, which included the holiday break, have allowed me time to learn more about our institution and the state of West Virginia.

TGCC 2024 Greater Good Award & Holiday Celebration:  The Tri-state Growth & Commerce Coalition Award and Holiday Celebration was hosted in good spirits with strong regional collaboration. It was my pleasure to represent Mineral County, WV, in this group, I am eager to explore collaborations with other educational entities in our region.

George Oss honors grandmother with Dulin Memorial Scholarship

Former Keyser resident, George K. Oss and his wife, Joann, recently made an additional donation to the Dulin Memorial Scholarship, which was endowed in 2016, with the WVU Foundation. The scholarship was created in memory of his late grandmother, Cora A. Dulin, who raised George and his sister after their mother passed away.

PSC Op-Ed with Dr. Jerry Wallace

Thank you for the opportunity to join the community and lead this historic institution into the next chapter. During my transition back to West Virginia, I connected with PSC employees and students and enjoyed getting out in the community. Some of our initial favorite local restaurants include Queen’s Point Coffee and Castiglia’s Italian Eatery!

I have met with staff, faculty and community members who beam with Catamount Pride and understand with hard work we can serve as a beacon of hope for many more students in the region. I have multiple engaging employee activities in store for PSC faculty and staff which also includes a Potomac State College retiree breakfast each semester.
