Yutzy, Farris Named Outstanding Sophomore Athletes of the Year

Named WVU Potomac State College’s Outstanding Sophomore Athletes of the Year were Shane Yutzy and Shyann Farris. Yutzy qualified for nationals both years on the cross-country team and finished third in the region this year. He’s a criminal justice studies

Named WVU Potomac State College’s Outstanding Sophomore Athletes of the Year were Shane Yutzy and Shyann Farris. Yutzy qualified for nationals both years on the cross-country team and finished third in the region this year. He’s a criminal justice studies major from Meyersdale, Pa. Farris played outfield and pitched for the softball team with an 11-5 record this year and 2.026 ERA. Her freshman year, she helped the team win the Region XX Championship and she was named to the Region XX First Team. She’s a pre-physical therapy major from Berkeley Springs, W.Va. The awards were made during the 32nd Annual Athletic Hall of Fame Awards Dinner earlier this spring.
