First Year Students
Check-in for first-year residence hall students for the Fall 2019 semester will be Sunday, August 18 starting at 9:00am. All first year students must be checked in by 3:00pm. Early check-in is not available. Only first year students will be permitted to check-in on August 18.
When you arrive on campus, please follow the directions of the staff and park in the areas to which you are directed. Once parked, you will be permitted a short time (approximately 30 minutes) to unload your vehicle, and then move to a more permanent parking spot. We ask everyone to unload quickly and move their vehicle to assist with the flow of traffic.
Once parked at the specified unloading area, students should go to the Davis Conference Center to pick up their keys and check in while the vehicle is being unloaded by the rest of their party. At this location, you will officially check in, receive your keys, and fill out any remaining paperwork that might be necessary.
We would like to simplify the check-in process for residents of Catamount Place and University Place. We ask those residents to check-in during the suggested time periods listed below.
- University Place ground floor and first floor and Catamount Place should check-in between 9:00am and noon.
- University Place second floor and third floor should check-in between noon and 3:00pm.
Check-in times are between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm. If you arrive after 3:00pm, please proceed to the University Place Front desk to sign in.
If you have a moving cart or dolly, please bring it with you on move in day to help with transporting your belongings to your room. We have a very limited number of carts available to assist students moving into University Place, but please do not plan on one being available at the time of your arrival.
Returning Students
Returning students will be able to check-in on Tuesday, August 20 from 9:00am until 3:00pm. If you arrive after 3:00pm, please proceed to the University Place Front desk to sign in. Returning students will also check in at the Davis Conference Center. Please Do not go to your assigned room before checking in.
