WVU Potomac State College Dean of Academic Affairs Phillip Douthitt is pleased
to announce the students who earned a place on the Spring 2024 Dean’s List. To
be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled for at least 12-credit
hours of graded courses, excluding courses in which any grade of Audit, Pass or
Incomplete is recorded, and must maintain a grade-point average of 3.000 to 3.699
for the semester.
Sophia Lord, an English and history major from Short Gap, W.Va.,
was named the Outstanding Student of the Year for 2024 at West Virginia University Potomac
State College during the College’s Recognition Day Awards ceremony.
Interim Campus President Paul Kreider presented the award.
Terrie Rogers was recently named the 2024 Outstanding Staff Person of the Year
at West Virginia University Potomac State College. WVU PSC Interim President

Madison Taylor, a business technology
major from Short Gap, W.Va., was recently presented with the Catamounts Climb
Higher award at West Virginia University Potomac State College. WVU PSC Interim

Telina Boyles, a
Bachelor of Science in nursing major from Parkersburg, W.Va., has been
presented with the Catamounts Climb Higher award at West Virginia University
Potomac State College. WVU PSC Interim President Paul Kreider presented the
award.
WVU Potomac State College student athletes were recognized at the CESPY Awards
for individual and team accomplishments throughout the academic year. Pictured

Clay B. Marsh, M.D., who
serves as Chancellor and Executive Dean in Health Sciences at West Virginia
University Morgantown, will serve as the Commencement speaker at WVU Potomac
State College on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

The Mary F. Shipper Library at WVU Potomac State College
has been selected as one of 310 libraries to participate in round two of Libraries
Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities, an
American Library Association (ALA) initiative that provides community
engagement and accessibility resources to small and rural libraries to help
them better serve people with disabilities.
