Author and Career Coach Nancy Collamer to speak at Potomac State College

Nancy Collamer, a nationally-known career coach and motivational speaker, will present “The 5 Key Career Lessons Learned from ‘Hidden Figures’” in the Davis Conference Center at West Virginia University (WVU) Potomac State College (PSC) on Tuesday, April 10 at 3:30 p.m.  This free event is open to both the PSC campus and the community.

The women of “Hidden Figures” were pioneers who excelled in their careers in spite of some challenging circumstances.  This engaging presentation will reveal how you too, can be a ‘hidden figure’ and achieve success in the workplace through innovation, hard work and determination.

Collamer serves as a columnist for Forbes.com, USNews.com, and NextAvenue.org, a PBS website.  Her advice has also been featured on numerous media outlets, including NBC Nightly News, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.

This event is sponsored with a WVU Campus Read Grant in cooperation with the PSC Academic Affairs Office.  Staff Librarian Virginia Kline and Business Management Instructor Kevin Arjel co-authored the grant.

After attending the presentation, students in Arjel’s business ethics class will collect motivational career quotes and paint them on a bench to be placed on the PSC campus.

For more information, contact Arjel at 304-788-7150 or at kevin.arjel@mail.wvu.edu, or Kline at 304-788-6904 or at Virginia.Kline@mail.wvu.edu.
