Bruce Liller has accepted the position of developmental advising specialist in Academic Affairs at West Virginia University (WVU) Potomac State College.
In this position, Liller provides one-on-one academic counseling in learning, advising, and student success to general studies students.
In addition to graduating magna cum laude from WVU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Liller also earned his master’s degree in counseling psychology from Frostburg State University.
Additionally, Liller has served on the Criminal Justice Program Advisory Board at the College; has previously served as an adjunct instructor at Frostburg State University, Allegany College of Maryland, and Garrett College; was the recipient of the 2000 Governor Citation for the Employee of the Year at the Western Correctional Institution; was twice-named Supervisor of the Year at the North Branch Correctional Institution; and also participated as an instructor with the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission, in a cooperative program with the U.S. Department of State.
