PSC’s Quarter Horses continue trophy wins

The West Virginia University Potomac State College Equine Department recently brought home several awards while competing in the Pennsylvania Quarter Horse Association (PQHA) Nittany Classic and Futurity Show, which was held in Centre Hall, PA.

The West Virginia University Potomac State College Equine Department recently brought home several awards while competing in the Pennsylvania Quarter Horse Association (PQHA) Nittany Classic and Futurity Show, which was held in Centre Hall, PA.  

PSC student,  Sydney Ibarra (right), a sophomore majoring in equine production and management, as well as business administration, is pictured with  PSC’s In My Feelings, who earned Champion honors in the Non Pro Weanling Fillies in the Open Weanling Fillies class.  In My Feelings also  brought home the Oakie Wyatt Memorial Trophy and the Vickie Zipperline Trophy for the second year in a row.

Assistant Professor and Equine Program Coordinator Jared Miller (left), is shown with PSC’s Smooth Summer Daze, who won the Yearling Mare Futurity Class and received the Champion of Champions Plaque (being held by Miller’s son Paxton) in memory of Skip Sholder, a past PQHA exhibitor.  Additionally, Smooth Summer Daze also stood with four grands in the Open AQHA mares.   Potomac State College is part of the WVU System located on the Keyser campus.
